My name is Melissa Jaramillo and I am so grateful to serve as your PTA President again this school year. I have an 8th grade daughter (former Hawk / current Bobcat) and a 4th grade son. Being a part of Torrey Hills School has been an amazing source of joy for our family. I am beyond thankful to the previous leadership teams who built up systems and traditions that foster connection and community among our Hawks.
The PTA (Parent Teacher Association) is a partnership between parents, teachers, and staff—with the goal of improving every child’s learning experience here at Torrey Hills. We provide support both inside and outside the classroom. Your contributions fund teacher mini-grants, student programs like Lunch Clubs and assemblies, community events like our upcoming Ice Cream Social, and much more!
Our amazing leadership team has been planning for the school year ahead—but we can’t do any of it without you.
We have 3 requests of you:
– First, consider becoming a PTA member so that you can vote and participate in decision making here at Torrey Hills.
– Second, come have fun with us! Participate in ways that are meaningful for your family. Attend events. (Keep track of upcoming events with Torrey Hills PTA 2026-2027 Event Calendar.) Linger at drop off and pick up. Volunteer at a Parent-Led Lunch Clubs once a week. Serve ice cream for 30 minutes at the Ice Cream Social on August 19th. We want to know your family and there is a place for you here.
– Third, participate in our main fundraiser, the Read-A-Thon Campaign, when it kicks off in September. See last year’s Read-a-thon campaign here.
