Community Cultural Fair

Celebrate Culture. Build Community. Explore the World.

The Torrey Hills Community Cultural Fair (aka International Fair) is a vibrant community event that brings families together to celebrate the rich cultural diversity of our school. It’s a fun, family-friendly evening where students and parents can explore the many traditions, customs, and flavors that make Torrey Hills such a unique and welcoming place.

It is an event where we come together to celebrate what feels like home through culture, food, and art. It is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the students and families that make up our school culture. The more participation we have, the better the event becomes!

What to Expect:

  • Cultural booths hosted by Torrey Hills families
  • Tastes of traditional foods from around the world
  • Crafts, games, and hands-on cultural activities
  • Performances

Host A Table:

All families (or groups of families) can host a table representing a culture they connect with. Each table can feature food, art/pictures, music or a traditional activity to share with our community. You can make it as simple or as fancy as you want. There is some funding and supplies available to support your table. So please don’t let that hold you back. We may even have a poster from a previous year that you can use again!

Performances:

This year there will be ongoing outdoor performances throughout the fair. We will have sound equipment available and a rotating schedule for students to showcase their culture (i.e. Taiko drums, irish dancing, kpop).

You don’t need to do it on your own!

We would be happy to connect you with those who share similar cultural backgrounds. If you are interested in hosting a table or having your child perform, please contact Melissa Jaramillo at president@torreyhillspta.com We will share all of the information you will need to make your table/performance a success!

Whether you’re hosting a booth or just joining in the fun, the Community Cultural Fair is a chance to learn, share, and connect as a school community.

Let’s celebrate the world—right here at Torrey Hills!
