Science Olympiad

ATTENTION 5th and 6th Grade Students and Families!!!

Join the Fun! The 2025/2026 Science Olympiad Season is Starting at Torrey Hills
We had a wonderful turnout at our Info Night and are excited to kick off another Science Olympiad season at Torrey Hills!

What is Science Olympiad?
Science Olympiad is a nationwide academic competition where students work in teams to explore science, technology, engineering, and math through hands-on events. Each student chooses a few events based on their interests—ranging from building devices, to studying biology, chemistry, and earth science, to problem-solving in physics and engineering. The season builds teamwork, problem-solving skills, and confidence, while giving kids a fun, meaningful way to dive deeper into science.

What’s Next:

  • Keep an eye out for an email when registration officially opens. It should be out by early September.
  • Please spread the word! We hope to grow the program in order to build stronger teams, achieve greater success in competition, and give more students early opportunities to explore science, develop their interests, and grow their skills!
  • Consider becoming an event coach! It’s a rewarding way to be involved and doesn’t require any prior experience! High school students can also coach to earn volunteer hours, build their resume, and gain leadership skills.
