ABILITY AWARENESS WEEK
February 12 - February 16 , 2024

Torrey Hills is thrilled to announce our first Ability Awareness Week,
scheduled for February 12-16.

Our PTA and school staff are working together to create a fun and engaging week!

Our goal is to enhance students' comprehension of diverse abilities, continue to promote empathy, and cultivate inclusivity within our school and community. Each grade will learn about a specific ability through engaging activities and conversations facilitated by their classroom teachers.


A highlight of the week will be the Celebrity Walk, showcasing accomplished individuals who have excelled despite facing disabilities. This event aims to convey the message that success is achievable for everyone, regardless of their abilities. We encourage you to take a moment during this week to engage in conversations with your families about the diverse talents and capabilities that exist within our community.


Together, let's foster an environment of understanding, compassion, and appreciation for all abilities.
